Chloe Bullock, founder and director of Materialise Interiors, is an award-winning interior designer with over 30 years of experience. Renowned for her commitment to sustainability, Chloe is the first UK interior designer to achieve Vegan Design Certification. She also champions a range of leading standards, including the WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, One Planet Living, and Parsons’ Healthier Materials & Sustainable Building certifications, and is currently studying the Living Building Challenge.
As a respected advocate for sustainable design, Chloe is deeply involved in industry progress. She serves on two BIID committees - Professional Practice and Sustainability - and is part of the BIID CPD assessment panel. Additionally, she co-founded Interior Design Declares, a movement addressing the climate and biodiversity emergency within the design sector.
Chloe is also the author of a groundbreaking book, Sustainable Interior Design. Aimed at demystifying sustainability in design practice, the book offers practical tools for interior designers, insights into sustainable materials and supply chains, and compelling case studies from around the world. Chloe empowers designers to embrace sustainable principles, demonstrating how they can contribute to healthier environments while meeting client expectations without exceeding budgets
